Malvern is famous for its hills, some of the oldest in the world, and they are thought to have inspired some of Elgar's famous music. The town of Malvern was well known for its waters and much of the architecture dates from the Victorian era after Queen Victoria visited the town to take the waters. With its ancient priory, historic buildings and superb setting at the foot of the Malvern Hills, Great Malvern remains highly attractive to tourists and students alike.
Malvern St. James College
Malvern St. James College (formerly Malvern Girl?s College) was founded in 1893 and is one of England?s leading independent schools. The magnificent building, originally a large hotel, the grounds, the superb facilities all make Malvern St. James College an ideal setting for teenage and younger learners to attend a summer course. Only a few minutes walk from the centre of the town and very close to the station, the College is a central and well known part of the history of the town. Hereford, Gloucester, Worcester and Birmingham are all within easy travelling distance.
