The IELTS test is recognised by British and Australian universities for admissions. It is increasingly accepted by institutions in the United States as well.

What will you learn?

This course focuses on a comprehensive overview of the IELTS test components and helps you develop the skills you need to obtain a creditable score on the IELTS. We offer a 4-week programme or a 5-day workshop which will cover the following skills and strategies:
Test structure, type and style of questions.
Test directions and time management for the different sections.
Reading and Listening strategies for speedy comprehension.
Writing strategies to fulfil actual exam requirements.
Speaking strategies to respond appropriately in the oral interview.

Students need to meet the minimum requirement of CIEP Level 106 or equivalent to undertake this programme.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, students should be able to Know the composition and expectation of the IELTS Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking sections of test.
Develop IELTS-specific listening strategies.
Hone general reading as well as IELTS reading strategies.
Be able to identify the question types that accompany the reading passages.
Be able to plan and write a good essay in the style that IELTS demands.
Be able to respond fluently and accurately using correct pronunciation and range of vocabulary in the oral interview.
Improve their score on the IELTS.

ELS Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) has been operating since 1996. It is located in the prestigious Golden Triangle business district of Kuala Lumpur and is just a 10-minute walk from the KLCC LRT station. This centre enjoys a panoramic view of the capital city’s skyline as it faces one of the tallest buildings in the world—the Petronas Twin Towers.

ELS Kuala Lumpur is situated in Megan Phileo Avenue, a very new and modern office block. It has 26 classrooms and a networked multimedia laboratory with internet facilities.

Meals: No meals are included. Students can purchase meals at nearby stores and food outlets. Minimum Age: None. But must have minimum 6 month visa.
Description: Palladium Condominium is located 15 minutes away from the centre by foot. Situated on Jalan Gurney 2, it is within a green and peaceful surrounding in the heart of downtown Kuala Lumpur. Facilities: Gymnasium, recreational areas, attached bathrooms, shops, cafeteria, car parking lots, laundry room, and security settings.

If you prefer to apply by post or fax, please download an application form and send it to us along with the following items:
Payment of RM 1,500 for international registration and visa processing fee;
5 pieces of passport-size photographs;
Certified true copies of all high school / college academic results (i.e. certificates / paper qualifications / academic transcript). In addition to the actual transcript, please include the English translation if it is in a different language;
2 sets of photocopies of passport (information page and stamped pages only). Please ensure at least one year validity of your passport;
1 set of photocopies of high school / college academic transcripts and certificates (all photocopies must be a certified true copy);
A copy of the bank remittance advices to be emailed or faxed for our information and processing. Please indicate the location of Malaysian Embassy at which the applicant would like to have his / her passport stamped;

This is a simple description of what happens after you’ve submitted your application to study at ELS Malaysia. There may be additional steps depending on the country you are applying from and your visa requirements.
Submit your application – you can either apply online to join a course or send a copy by post or fax. Applying online is easy, fast and safe and goes directly to the International Student Counsellor who deals with your country of residence.
Check entry requirements and availability – once we receive your application, we’ll check to see if you meet all the entry requirements for entry into Malaysia. Registration and Visa processing payment and submission of related documents – Upon confirmation of your intent to study at ELS Malaysia, you will be required to pay the registration and visa processing fee. You should also send to the International Office the required certified documents to process your visa application.
Offer of a place or an alternative plan - If you meet the necessary entry requirements, then we will write to you with a formal offer of a place at ELS Malaysia.
Accommodation availability check - Upon receipt of your registration fees, we will then check the availability of your chosen accommodation and hold a place in your name.
Place confirmation - We will then write to you with a confirmation of your reserved course place.
Accommodation & arrival confirmation - Please inform us your travel arrangement at least 7 days before departure. It is important to note that under the Malaysian Immigration requirements, a representative from ELS Language Centers is required to meet you at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). You should plan your travel so that you will arrive before the session begins. Should you require place to stay when you arrive, please inform us at least 7 days before your departure.
