The Management and Business Administration programmes are best suited to participants with a minimum Intermediate level of English on entry (IELTS 5.5 for the certificate; IELTS 5.0 for the higher certificate, diploma and foundation), who are seeking a professional skills programme specialising in English, management and business administration. The courses are aimed at young professionals and students who are seeking a career or further study in management and require proficiency in English. Depending on the options selected by students, these courses lead to awards from BBSI, CMI (Certificate in Management), City and Guilds (Vocational Key Skills Certificate) and NCFE.
A 24-week (2-term) higher certificate course (CMB 24) comprises 26 lessons weekly. Depending upon their language entry level and previous knowledge, students can follow one of 2 options:
Option 1 comprises Term 1 and 2 of the diploma course, ie English, management and business communication skills. The language entry level is IELTS 5.0.
Option 2 comprises Terms 2 and 3 of the diploma course, ie English, business, management theory and practice. The language entry level is IELTS 5.5.
Option 1 includes BBSI and NCFE awards, and the City and Guilds Vocational Key Skills Certificate. Option 2 leads to the full CMI Certificate in Management.

Learning Outcomes
Students with good attendance and who complete all assignments can expect to achieve a minimum language level of IELTS 6.0/6.5. They will also be able to function effectively in English in a professional business environment, and will have acquired a sound knowledge and understanding of international business and management.
